Biography

Dr Ying Guo is a Research Scientist at the Autonomous Systems Laboratory in the CSIRO ICT Centre. Her research interest is on Machine learning, Multi-Agent System Design, Complex Systems, and Intelligent Sensor Networks.

She joined CSIRO in November 2001 after having completed a PhD in machine learning area at the Australian National University. She received the B.E. degree in 1994 and the M.Eng. Degree in electrical engineering in 1996.

Since joining CSIRO she has worked on several projects, including HVAC System Management and Fault Detection, Distributed Energy Management and Control (DEMC), Virtual Power Station, Minerals Down Under (anomaly detection part), Robust Outdoor Vision-based Experimental Robots (ROVER), Farming 2020 (animal behaviour modelling part), System for Quick Image Search (SQIS), and Laboratory for Global Response Engineering in a Multi-agent environment (GREMLab).
