Biography
While working in industry, Keith designed infrared night vision equipment for the British Army, worked in the planning of new coal-fired power stations for Queensland, designed radio and DSP equipment which were part of a spread-spectrum tracking system that predated widespread GPS use, project-managed the design of a new obstacle-avoidance sonar system and wrote its signal processing code, did software engineering work for an emergency services mobile radio, and later was engineering manager for that mobile radio project.
At CSIRO, Keith has created video-over-IP real time videoconferencing software, managed the design and construction of wireless transceiver hardware used to explore MIMO algorithms, and implemented an underwater acoustic network.
